This auction will feature nice hand saws including a Disston D95 in original box; a new Sandvick, and more; hand forged tools including a decorated splitting wedge and a nice wheelwright saw from a prominent St. Paul, MN collection; wooden molding and plow and molding planes from three different collections; some nice axes; a very nice No. 2 smoother and lot of 10 handrail planes and a Bedrock No. 602 that just needs a front knob from the late Bob St. Peters collection; several iron bench and block planes including two No. 8 jointers; two No. 5 1/2 jumbo jacks and many more; some nice silver plate serving pieces from Pittsburgh family; and a lot of rusty fixer up tools that were cleaned out of a Missouri barn in the past few months. DO YOU HAVE ANTIQUE TOOLS, GUNS, ANTIQUE KITCHEN GADGETS, SURVEYING INSTRUMENTS; FARM PRIMITIVES OR RELATED ANTIQUES FOR SALE? CONTACT MIKE@GREATPLANESTRADING.COM ABOUT SCHEDULING AN AUCTION OR ADDING YOUR ITEMS TO AN ALREADY SCHEDULED AUCTION. ALL INQUIRIES WILL BE HELD IN STRICT CONFIDENCE.

A 15 percent buyers premium is now charged at our tool sales unless otherwise advertised by us. We do not like having to charge it, but it had been at 10 and 12 percent for 15 years while our competition was charging 15 to 20 percent or more. We use the buyers premium we collect to offset the ever-increasing costs (fuel, hotels, advertising, hall rental, vehicles like trucks and trailers) associated with putting our sales together. By not having to pass all these costs onto our consigners, we are able to attract better consignments and offer competitive rates.
